This is a graph of the amount of copper exports from Chile to the United States from the years 2012 to 2021. It also goes more in depth below it, and contains the actual copper products that were exported and their value, mainly from the years 2017-2021. For example, in 2021 copper wires were exported to the United States at a value of $4.83 Million. The creator of this graph is unknown, but it originates on the “Trading Economics” site. Clearly, this site is constantly being updated with new statistics. The last update was on December of 2022. The use of this graph is to be quickly informed of the copper exports the U.S. is receiving from Chile.
This graph is interesting to use, as I discuss the relationship between Chile and the United States in terms of copper exports and production. This helps readers to get an idea of the amount of copper exports produced in a more present-day scenario. It also allows us to see what kind of copper exports the U.S. is receiving, such as wire, bars, pipes, household articles, etc. This information helps us distinguish why the U.S. is so reliant on Chilean copper, because it is used in so many everyday products.
